Description

Keep the tailgate rising smoothly and holding open with the Stabilus Liftgate Lift Support 4B-6162RU, a gas-charged lift support with dynamic speed control. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2003-2007 Toyota Matrix (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details), measures 17.01 inches, and needs no special tools to fit.

Dynamic damping speed control: creates a fluid opening motion with no bouncing or jerking during cycling.
Lift-O-Mat by Stabilus: a longitudinal groove (velocity manifold) pressed into the tube wall lets gas flow around the piston, with extension speed and damping engineered for this application; the groove narrows toward the end of the stroke for a gentle, controlled stop.
Corrosion-tested coatings: part coatings tested to automotive standards for corrosion resistance.
Based on the OE design to help ensure proper fit, form and function.
