Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:JH-165

Help route high-voltage spark from the rotor to every plug wire with the Standard Ignition Distributor Cap JH-165. It is a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications: the 1989-1992 Chevrolet Sprint, 1989-1997 Geo Metro, 1989-1991 and 1994-2000 Pontiac Firefly, 1992-1994 Suzuki Swift, and 1998-2000 Chevrolet Metro. • Carbon brush: A durable carbon brush resists wear, which helps extend the life of the distributor cap.
• High dielectric-strength polymer: The cap uses a high dielectric-strength engineering polymer. It is designed to resist breakdown and arcing and to give long life.
• Solid brass terminals: The terminals resist pitting and erosion for extended life.
• Vented design: Vents let ozone escape. This helps keep a conductive surface from forming on the inside of the cap.

The distributor cap carries ignition voltage from the rotor to each spark plug wire terminal. Signs it may need replacing include misfires, hard starting, rough running, a cracked cap, carbon tracking, or corroded or burned terminals. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the ignition system before replacing parts.
