Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:JH-76
Route high-voltage spark to each spark plug wire with the Standard Ignition Distributor Cap JH-57. It carries the charge from the ignition coil to the rotor and on to each plug wire terminal. It is listed for several Toyota models, among them the 1968-1974 Toyota Corolla, 1971 Toyota Celica and 1969-1971 Toyota Hi-Lux.
A distributor cap works in heat, vibration and constant high voltage. Signs it may need replacing include cracks, carbon tracks inside the cap, burned or corroded terminals, misfires, hard starting and rough running. Other ignition parts can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the cause first. If a worn cap is the cause, the JH-57 replaces it. Inspect the rotor while the cap is off.
See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details.

Will this work as a 1968-1974 Toyota Corolla distributor cap?
Yes. The JH-57 is listed for the 1968-1974 Toyota Corolla. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details on your car.
Is this the right Celica distributor cap for a 1971 model?
The JH-57 is listed for the 1971 Toyota Celica. That is the only Celica year in its fitment.
What is the JH-57 made of?
It is made of high dielectric strength, glass/mineral reinforced polyester resin. The material is designed for less carbon tracking and greater resistance to electrical breakdown.
What are signs my distributor cap may need replacing?
Cracks, carbon tracks, burned or corroded terminals, misfires, hard starting and rough running can be signs of a worn cap. Other ignition parts cause similar symptoms, so diagnose before replacing.
Should I check the rotor when installing a new cap?
Yes. With the cap off, inspect the rotor tip for wear or burning, and replace the rotor if it shows damage.
