Keep track of the oil in your engine with the Standard Ignition Engine Oil Level Sensor, part number FLS312. This sensor reads the engine's oil level and reports it to the vehicle, so a low-oil condition can be flagged to the driver. It is listed for many models, among them the 2012-2018 Volkswagen Passat (V6-3.6L), 2012-2013 Audi A7 Quattro (V6-3.0L) and 2012-2017 Audi A6 Quattro (V6-3.0L). A faulty oil level sensor can cause trouble in two ways. It can trigger a low-oil warning when the oil is at the correct level, or it can fail to give a warning when the oil really is low. Erratic or missing oil level readings are signs the sensor may need replacing. If the original sensor is the cause, the FLS312 replaces it. Before you replace the sensor, confirm the actual oil level and inspect the wiring and connector.
