Standard Ignition Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve P/N:EGV1045
Standard Ignition EGV1038 EGR valve for the 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred V6 3.0L and other vehicles routes exhaust gas back into the intake to help reduce NOx emissions. Lowering the combustion temperature also helps improve fuel economy.
A rough idle, a check engine light or a failed emissions test can be signs of a sticking or failing EGR valve. Those signs alone do not prove the valve is at fault, since a carbon-clogged EGR passage is another common culprit.
This EGR valve fits the 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred V6 3.0L, the 2005-2007 Ford Freestyle V6 3.0L and the 2005-2007 Mercury Montego V6 3.0L. Each engine takes one valve.
