Reseal a weeping gasoline direct-injection (GDI) fuel injector with the Standard Ignition Fuel Injector Seal Kit SK144. It's a direct-fit replacement for a long list of BMW models, including the 2007-2010 335i, 2008-2010 535i and 2011-2012 740i (L6-3.0L), the 2009-2012 750i and 2010-2013 X5 (V8-4.4L), the 2012 Z4 (L4-2.0L) and the 2010-2015 760Li (V12-6.0L) — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of 31 applications.

  • Quality-tested: checked for durability to hold up during demanding vehicle operation.
  • Nylon O-ring, black finish: one black Nylon o-ring per kit, measuring 6.35 mm inside diameter and 2.794 mm thick.
  • Fuel- and oil-resistant: made from material intended to resist breakdown from fuel and oil exposure.
  • Matched sealing surfaces: sized to match the mating surfaces between the fuel injector and the fuel rail for a proper seal and fit.

A fuel injector seal seals the connection between the injector and the fuel rail; when it hardens or cracks you may notice a fuel odor, weeping around the injector, hard starting or a rough idle — if a failed injector seal is the cause, this kit replaces it. Each kit covers one injector with one o-ring, so order one kit per injector: L6-3.0L engines use 6, V8-4.4L use 8, and the V12-6.0L 760Li uses 12. Hardware, pintle cap, nozzle seal and upper intake manifold gaskets are not included. Country of origin: Germany. Manufacturer part number SK144.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this kit do?

It supplies the sealing o-ring for a gasoline direct-injection (GDI) fuel injector, sealing the connection between the injector and the fuel rail. If a failed injector seal is the cause of a leak, this replaces it.

How many kits do I need?

Each kit covers one injector with one o-ring, so order one per injector. L6-3.0L engines use 6, V8-4.4L use 8, and the V12-6.0L 760Li uses 12.

What vehicles does it fit?

It's a direct-fit replacement for many 2007-2016 BMW models across L4-2.0L, L6-3.0L, V8-4.4L and V12-6.0L engines. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of 31 applications.

What is included in the kit?

One black Nylon o-ring covering a single injector. Hardware, pintle cap, nozzle seal and upper intake manifold gaskets are not included.

What are signs the injector seal may need replacing?

A fuel odor, weeping or fuel residue around the injector, hard starting or a rough idle can indicate a failed seal. Diagnose the cause before replacing, as these symptoms have other causes.
