Standard Ignition Horn Relay P/N:HR-139
Keep the horn circuit switching the way it was designed to with the Standard Ignition Horn Relay HR-114. It is a direct-fit replacement for many classic vehicles, including the 1950-1954 Chevrolet Bel Air, 1953-1954 Chevrolet Corvette and 1957-1961 Jeep FC150. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.
A horn relay is an electrically operated switch. When you press the horn button, the button's low-current circuit energizes the relay, and the relay closes to send the heavier current the horn needs. If a failed relay is why your horn has gone quiet, this unit replaces it.
Signs this part may need replacing: a horn that won't sound, sounds only now and then, or won't shut off. A bad horn, horn button or wiring fault can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the circuit before you replace the relay.
What does the HR-114 horn relay do?
It is an electrically operated switch. The horn button energizes the relay, and the relay then carries the heavier current to the horn so the button circuit doesn't have to.
What are signs a horn relay may need replacing?
Common signs are a horn that won't sound, sounds only intermittently, or won't shut off. The horn, the button or the wiring can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the circuit first.
