Standard Ignition HVAC Blower Motor Resistor P/N:RU-504
Standard RU-374 blower motor resistor for the 2004-2012 Chevrolet Malibu and other vehicles sets the speed of the A/C and heater blower motor. This HVAC blower motor resistor helps restore variable speed control when the old one has failed.
Blower speeds that drop out, or a fan that runs on only one setting, can mean the resistor has failed. A worn blower motor is another common cause, so these signs alone do not prove the resistor is the problem.
This resistor fits the 2005-2010 Pontiac G6 and the 2007-2009 Saturn Aura as well as the 2004-2012 Chevrolet Malibu, and it is specifically designed for GM applications. The 2004-2012 Chevrolet Malibu takes one.

Is the Standard RU-374 the right Chevy Malibu blower motor resistor for a 2004-2012 Malibu?
Yes. Standard RU-374 fits the 2004-2012 Chevrolet Malibu, and that car takes one resistor.
Can I use this Pontiac G6 blower motor resistor on a 2005-2010 G6?
Yes. Standard RU-374 fits the 2005-2010 Pontiac G6, which also takes one resistor.
Does the RU-374 come with a wiring harness?
No. This resistor comes with mounting hardware and a mounting bracket, but the wiring harness is not included.
How many terminals does this blower motor resistor have?
It has a rectangular female connector with five cavities and five male blade terminals. It handles 3-5 speeds.
Is the Standard RU-374 the same as a BR278 resistor?
Yes. BR278 is one of the numbers this resistor replaces, along with RU1067 and JA1571.
