Standard Ignition HVAC Blower Motor Resistor P/N:RU-769
Standard Ignition RU-901 blower motor resistor for the 2017-2020 Toyota 86 and other vehicles helps set the speeds of the heater and A/C blower motor. This HVAC blower motor resistor is made for Scion and Toyota applications.
A blower that runs on only some speeds, or not at all, can mean the resistor has failed. These signs alone do not prove the resistor is the problem, because a weak blower motor is another common cause.
This resistor fits the 2017-2020 Toyota 86 and the 2013-2016 Scion FR-S, and only one resistor goes in the car.
Fit and size

Does the Standard Ignition RU-901 blower motor resistor fit a 2017-2020 Toyota 86?
Yes. The Standard Ignition RU-901 fits the 2017-2020 Toyota 86 and the 2013-2016 Scion FR-S, and each car takes one resistor.
Does the RU-901 come with a wiring harness or mounting bracket?
No. The Standard Ignition RU-901 is one blower motor resistor; the wiring harness, mounting bracket and hardware are not included.
How many speeds does this blower motor resistor handle?
It is listed for 3-5 speed operation. It has four male blade terminals and one rectangular female connector with a single cavity, and it attaches with a screw.
Could a heater fan that works on only some speeds be a bad blower motor resistor?
Yes, it can be. If the resistor has failed, the blower may run on only some speeds or not at all, and a shop can test the circuit.
Does the Standard Ignition RU-901 replace RU1590?
Yes. RU1590 is one of the numbers the Standard Ignition RU-901 replaces, along with JA1991, BR800 and SU003A0016.
