Standard Ignition Ignition Control Module P/N:LX-117
Keep the ignition coils firing on schedule with the Standard Ignition Ignition Control Module LX-235 — a bolt-on, externally mounted 12-volt module that switches the ignition coil primary current so the plugs fire at the commanded time. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 1988 American Motors Eagle [L6-4.2L], 1991-1993 Jeep Cherokee [L4-2.5L], 1991-1992 Jeep Comanche [L4-2.5L], 1988-1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer [V8-5.9L], 1988 Jeep J10 and J20 [V8-5.9L], 1991-1993 Jeep Wrangler [L4-2.5L], and 1988-1990 Jeep Wrangler [L6-4.2L] — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
Built for distributorless ignition, it responds to a weak crankshaft position sensor signal and begins energizing the coils immediately to help with cold starts. It connects through two male blade connectors carrying six terminals. Mounting hardware is not included — consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners. Manufacturer part number LX-235. Country of origin: United States.
