Standard Ignition Ignition Switch P/N:US-678
Standard Motor Products
Designed for dependable key-start switching, the Standard Ignition US-632 Ignition Starter Switch is the electrical switch that sends battery power to the ignition and accessory circuits and signals the starter when the key reaches the start position. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1992-1993 Plymouth Colt, 1992-1994 Mitsubishi Expo LRV and 1992-1993 Eagle Summit, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details and the full list.
A worn ignition switch may show itself as a no-crank condition when the key is turned to start, power or accessories that cut out, or a stall when the key is bumped while driving. The battery, lock cylinder, wiring and starter can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the circuit before replacing the switch. If a failed switch is the cause, the US-632 replaces it.

Does this Colt switch fit the 1992-1993 Plymouth Colt?
Yes. The US-632 is listed as a direct-fit replacement for the 1992-1993 Plymouth Colt. Check the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details.
Will it work as a Summit switch on the 1992-1993 Eagle Summit?

What does an ignition starter switch do?
It is the electrical switch turned by the ignition key. It sends power to the ignition and accessory circuits and signals the starter to crank the engine when the key reaches the start position.
How is the US-632 built and tested?
It uses copper alloy conductors for strong electrical conductivity with low resistive losses. Each switch is 100% tested to verify both its mechanical and its electrical switching performance.
What are signs an ignition switch may need replacing?
A no-crank at the start position, power or accessories cutting out, or stalling when the key is bumped may indicate a worn switch. Diagnose first, since the battery, starter or wiring can cause similar symptoms.
