It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2006-2007 Subaru B9 Tribeca, the 2013-2018 Subaru Legacy, the 2013-2018 Subaru Outback, and the 2008-2009 and 2011-2014 Subaru Tribeca.

A MAP sensor reads the pressure inside the intake manifold and reports it to the engine control module, which uses that signal to estimate air density and adjust fuel delivery and ignition timing across load and altitude changes.
