Standard Ignition Neutral Safety Switch P/N:NS-212
Standard Motor Products
Standard Ignition NS-331 neutral safety switch for the 2006-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and other vehicles is an electrically operated switch that restores neutral safety function. It replaces damaged OE units.
When this switch wears or fails, the engine can refuse to crank in Park or Neutral, or crank in another gear. These signs alone do not prove the switch is the problem, since a weak battery can also keep an engine from cranking.
Made to OE spec for fit, form and function, and tested to meet or exceed OE performance, this switch is a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn models, led by the 2006-2010 Chevrolet Malibu, the 2006-2011 Chevrolet HHR and the 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. The 2006-2010 Chevrolet Malibu takes one. If your car is not named here, look it up in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
