Description

Keep crankcase pressure in check and route blow-by vapors where they belong with the Standard Ignition PCV Valve (V801). It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the 2002-2005 BMW 745i and 745Li, 2004-2005 BMW 545i and 645Ci, 2004-2010 BMW X5, 2006-2010 BMW 550i and 650i, 2006-2008 BMW 750i and 750Li, and the 2007-2008 BMW ALPINA B7.

How it works: the PCV valve uses intake manifold vacuum to draw blow-by gases out of the crankcase and feed them back into the intake, where they are re-burned instead of building up pressure inside the engine.
Metered, one-way flow: the valve regulates how much vapor is pulled based on engine conditions and helps prevent backflow into the crankcase.
Signs it may need replacing: rough or unstable idle, oil seepage past seals and gaskets, oil pulled into the intake, or a whistling/vacuum noise.
Routine service part: if a stuck or clogged valve is the cause of poor crankcase ventilation, replacing it with V801 restores proper vapor flow.
