This Over-Built front steering component is designed for added endurance and durability. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1977-1996 Chevrolet Impala, 1977-1996 Chevrolet Caprice and 1991-1996 Buick Roadmaster, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. Mounted in the front steering linkage, this steering center link joins the linkage together. It carries motion from the steering gear side of the system out to the tie rods so both front wheels turn together. Over time its joints can wear, which may show up as loose steering or extra play at the wheel.
