Mevotech Supreme Steering Idler Arm P/N:MK6248T
Help keep the steering linkage correctly located and free of excess play with the Mevotech Supreme Steering Idler Arm MK8185. This front idler arm installs as a direct-fit replacement on many vehicles, among them the 1977-1979 Ford LTD II, 1972-1979 Ford Ranchero and 1972-1979 Ford Thunderbird — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list of applications.
The idler arm supports one end of the steering center link and works with the pitman arm to keep the linkage parallel and properly positioned. As the pivot wears, it allows excess movement in the linkage. If a worn idler arm is the cause of loose or wandering steering, this replaces it. It measures 7.438 in.
