As the outer pivot between the tie rod and the steering knuckle, this steering tie rod end transfers steering input to the wheel.
- Maximum toughness: patented sintered bearings are designed for longer-lasting performance. An application-specific ball stud system with a larger sphere is intended to optimize performance.
- Locks out contaminants: a patented sealing ring permanently locks the boot onto the ball joint housing.
- Quick, serviceable install: a part-specific slotted castle nut and an easy-snap cotter pin are provided to secure the ball joint to the vehicle. A 180-degree SAE grease fitting is included for servicing.
- A stronger bond: pre-applied Nylok thread adhesive helps keep fasteners secure and vibration resistant.
Signs this part may need replacing include loose or wandering steering, a knock when turning, excess play, and uneven tire wear. Diagnose the cause before replacing any part. A wheel alignment is recommended after installation.
