Keep brake fluid flowing securely to the rear brakes with the Sunsong brake hose 2201428, a rear outer brake hydraulic hose from a vertically integrated manufacturer that specializes in automotive fluid transfer hoses and lines. It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2007-2018 BMW X5 and 2008-2019 BMW X6. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details.
Sunsong designs its hoses around what installers need, aiming to exceed industry quality standards and deliver exact form, fit, and function.
- Standards compliance: Meets or exceeds DOT, Federal Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 106), and SAE J1401 standards.
- Wearable parts as required: Precision engineered to exact fit, with brackets, grommets, molded plastic guards, wire clips, and protective sleeves included where the application requires them.
- Zinc-plated steel tubing: Where tubing is used, it is made from high-grade steel and electroplated with a zinc coating for corrosion and rust resistance against high humidity, road salt, water, and grime.
- Pressure tested: Every hose goes through a high-pressure quality assurance test before it leaves the factory.
As a brake hydraulic hose, it carries pressurized brake fluid across the flexible link between the chassis and the moving suspension at the rear outer position. Signs a brake hose may need replacing include cracks, bulging or swelling, fluid seepage at the fittings, and a soft brake pedal. Where a hose uses banjo end fittings, Sunsong supplies new copper washers for proper sealing.
