A brake hose is the flexible link that carries pressurized brake fluid between the vehicle's rigid brake line and the wheel brake, flexing as the suspension and steering move. Sunsong is a vertically integrated maker of automotive fluid transfer hoses and lines, and it designs its hoses for exact form, fit and function.

• Hardware as required: Each hose is precision engineered to exact fit and comes with the brackets, grommets, molded plastic guards, wire clips and protective sleeves its application calls for, so those wearable pieces are renewed along with the hose.
• Standards and testing: Meets or exceeds DOT, FMVSS 106 and SAE J1401 standards, and every hose undergoes a high-pressure quality assurance test before it leaves the factory.
• Corrosion-resistant tubing: Any tubing on the assembly is high-grade steel, electroplated with a zinc coating for corrosion and rust resistance against humidity, road salt, water and grime.
• Sealing washers: Hoses with banjo end fittings include new copper washers for proper sealing.

Signs a brake hose may need replacing include a soft or spongy pedal, fluid seepage at the hose or its fittings, or a hose that looks cracked, swollen or chafed. After installation, bleed the brake system as directed by the vehicle service information.
