Dorman - OE Solutions Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly P/N:520-520
Replace a worn right front lower arm in one step with the Dorman control arm P/N 520-290, a front right lower replacement for the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer and 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer. Dorman designed it to directly replace the original assembly on these applications. Engine details for each vehicle are listed in the Buyer's Guide tab.
This Dorman suspension control arm and ball joint assembly arrives with its key components already in place, so it is ready to install on the right lower corner.
As a Dorman lower control arm, it connects the steering knuckle to the vehicle's frame. This lets the wheel travel over bumps while it stays in position. Signs this part may need replacing include clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, or play in the ball joint. Other suspension parts can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing. If a worn arm or ball joint is the cause, this assembly replaces both.
It is sold individually, and replacing both sides together is recommended. Follow the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether the original ones may be reused.
