Smooth out the ride and restore firm rear control with the KYB Gas-a-just Shock Absorber KG4740, a high-pressure monotube gas shock that fits the rear of the 1994-1996 Mercedes-Benz C220, 1997-2000 Mercedes-Benz C230, 1994-2000 Mercedes-Benz C280, 1998-2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 and 1999-2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK430. Offered as an OE monotube replacement, this KYB shock absorber is built to bring damping back toward the vehicle's original capability. Monotube gas design: the high-pressure layout separates the gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response.
Two working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving.
Extra damping: adds up to 25% more damping performance over original equipment shocks, with valving suited to vehicles that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels.
