KYB Suspension Shock Absorber P/N:3440137
KYB 565073 front shock absorber for the 1988-1999 Chevrolet K1500 and other vehicles damps the up-and-down motion of the front suspension. This KYB shock absorber is a heavy-duty MonoMax monotube gas design for trucks, with up to 40% more damping performance than standard shock absorbers.
A truck that keeps bouncing after bumps, dives at the nose under braking or shows an oil film on the shock body may have a worn shock. With the truck parked and the engine off, look at the shock body and boot for fluid or tears. Springs, bushings and tires can cause similar ride problems, so find the cause before you replace anything. These vehicles take two, one on each side of the front axle.
The 1988-1999 Chevrolet K1500, the 1995-1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, the 2000 Tahoe V8-5.7L and the 1992-1999 GMC Yukon take this front shock, along with many other vehicles. It also suits a performance upgrade on a lifted GM truck.
