Description

Restore the designed control, stability, and handling of your SUV or crossover with the KYB Excel-G Gas Strut 235912, a front right suspension strut that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2012 Ford Escape, 2001-2006 and 2008-2011 Mazda Tribute, and 2005-2011 Mercury Mariner (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details). Excel-G is KYB's OEM-replacement line, built on the same assembly lines as its original-equipment products to help return your vehicle to its original, designed damping performance rather than change it.

Nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design: includes the same quality components found in KYB's global OEM products, the choice preferred by professional technicians.
Triple-lip fluid seal: helps reduce the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Vehicle-specific damping valves: hand assembled in-house to manage tire contact, steering response, and body movement.
Strong, thick strut body and bracket: minimizes flex to help maintain correct alignment in varied conditions and helps keep electronic safety systems performing as designed.

KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5390) and protecting the new strut with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB105) to reduce the chance of noise and vibration.
