Description

Keep front-end handling and ride control working as designed with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut 235921, a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube front strut. It's a direct-fit replacement for the 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and 2004-2007 Mercury Monterey — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details.

Built on KYB's OE assembly lines to the OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) standard, the Excel-G is calibrated to restore the vehicle's original, designed performance rather than change it.

Nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube design: the professional-preferred Excel-G construction that includes the quality components found in KYB's global OEM products.
Triple lip fluid seal: reduces the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Strong, thick strut body and brackets: help minimize flex to maintain correct alignment in all conditions.
Vehicle-specific, hand-assembled damping valves: designed to manage tire contact, steering response, and body movement.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5448), and protecting your new struts from dirt, debris, and salt with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB130).
