Description

Restore the original ride control and stable handling of your Lexus with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut 341266, a front gas strut that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1998-2005 Lexus GS300, 1998-2000 Lexus GS400, 2001-2005 Lexus GS430, and 2002-2005 Lexus SC430 (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). Part of KYB's OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) line, the Excel-G is a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube unit calibrated to return the vehicle's designed damping — not change it.

Thick strut body and brackets: minimize flex to help maintain correct alignment in all conditions.
Triple lip fluid seal: reduces the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Vehicle-specific, hand-assembled damping valves: manage tire contact, steering response, and body movement.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5205), and you can protect the strut from dirt, debris, and salt with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB103). Sold individually; for even, balanced handling, replacing both sides of the axle as a matched pair is recommended.
