The alternator is driven by the engine belt and produces electrical current to recharge the battery and run the vehicle's electrical loads while the engine is running. Its internal regulator controls the output voltage.
- Output: 12-volt, 120-amp rating with negative ground and an internal regulator.
- Pulley included: conventional 6-groove serpentine pulley with a 50 mm (2 in) outside diameter. It is not a decoupled or clutch pulley.
- Rotation and cooling: clockwise (right-hand) rotation, air-cooled with an internal fan.
- Configuration: not one-wire capable, no AC service tap, and not a brushless design. The OE manufacturer is Bosch.
