A power steering pump that is wearing out or leaking can show several signs. You may hear a whine or groan while turning, the steering may feel stiff or heavy, or fluid may leak at the pump. Low fluid or a steering gear problem can cause the same signs, so diagnose the cause before replacing the pump. If you need a power steering pump for a 2009-2017 Chevy Traverse, this new TERREPOWER unit is listed for it. Follow the vehicle service information for the installation procedure, the correct fluid and bleeding the system.
