Description

Restore spark insulation and secure coil-to-plug contact with the ThunderCore PRO Coil Boot 900-P2022. It's an OE-replacement coil boot for the 1999-2003 Mazda Protege (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). In coil-on-plug (COP) and coil-near-plug (CNP) ignition systems, the coil boot forms the insulative path between the ignition coil and the spark plug, and over time heat, vibration, or chemical exposure can degrade it — leading to arc-through, misfires, or hard starting. If a worn or cracked boot is the cause of those symptoms, this part replaces it.
