TrakMotive CV Axle Shaft P/N:VW-8148
TrakMotive FD-8148 front left CV axle shaft for the 2007-2014 Ford Edge and other vehicles carries drive torque from the drivetrain to the front left wheel. Its inboard and outboard joints flex with suspension travel and steering.
A clicking noise on turns or vibration under acceleration can mean the axle is wearing. With the engine off, look around the front left wheel area for flung grease before replacing it; a shop can check the joints. This is one front left shaft; the front right is a separate part, and both are normally replaced together.
This CV axle fits the 2007-2014 Ford Edge and the 2007-2015 Lincoln MKX.
