Transmission Filter Kit for 2000-2009 Thomas Saf-T-Liner & More - Wix 58892

Keep clean fluid circulating through your automatic transmission with the WIX Automatic Transmission Filter Kit, part number 58892. This internal filter kit is a direct-fit replacement for the listed commercial trucks, buses, and motor coaches. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2003-2011 Peterbilt 320, 1997-2008 Freightliner FS65, and 1998-2010 Blue Bird All American FE. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list of applications and engine details.

• Application-specific media: WIX matches the filtration media to each application. Across its transmission filter range it draws on wire-backed synthetic, enhanced cellulose, and wire mesh.
• Bypass-resistant construction: Lock-seamed, sealed assemblies and application-specific sealing components are designed so unfiltered fluid can't bypass the filtration media.
• Structure and sealing: High-strength, corrosion-resistant materials, center tubes, and end caps work with the sealing components to help resist leaks across a range of operating conditions.
• Gaskets included: The kit includes sealing gaskets designed for use with today's sophisticated transmission fluids.

Installed inside the transmission, the filter captures contaminants in the transmission fluid as it circulates. WIX recommends its filters for OEM transmission filter change intervals. Signs the filter may need service include delayed or harsh shifts, slipping, or dark, contaminated fluid. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose first. If a restricted filter is the cause, this kit replaces it.
