Standard Ignition Vapor Canister P/N:CP438
Standard Ignition CP3180 vapor canister for the 2005-2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer 6-cylinder 4.2L, the 2006 Trailblazer V8 5.3L or 6.0L and other vehicles stores fuel vapor from the tank for the evaporative emission system. The engine later draws those vapors in to be burned.
A fuel smell, a lit check engine light or a failed emissions test can mean a canister problem, but they can also come from other evaporative parts. Before you replace the canister, rule out a loose fuel cap, a cracked vapor hose and a faulty purge valve; a shop can test the system.
This vapor canister is a direct-fit OE replacement for the 2005-2006 Chevrolet Uplander V6 3.5L, the 2006-2009 Uplander V6 3.9L, the 2006 Pontiac Montana V6 3.5L and the 2006-2009 Montana V6 3.9L, among many other vehicles. The 2006-2009 Montana V6 3.9L takes one. Open the "Vehicles it fits" section to check your exact model and engine.
