Dorman - OE Solutions Vapor Canister P/N:911-641
Dorman 911-306 vapor canister for the 2011 Ford Escape 4-cylinder 2.5L and other vehicles stores fuel vapor from the tank in a charcoal bed. The evaporative emissions system then draws that vapor back toward the engine instead of letting it escape.
A check engine light tied to the evaporative system, a fuel smell or a failed emissions inspection can mean the canister needs replacing. Before you order, look over the canister, its ports and the hoses for cracks or damage with the engine off and cool. A shop can run the evaporative system tests.
This canister is a direct-fit replacement for the 2011 Mercury Mariner 4-cylinder 2.5L and the 2011 Ford Escape 4-cylinder 2.5L, and each takes one canister.
