Walker Products Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid P/N:590-1081
Walker Products 590-1107 VVT solenoid for the 2008-2013 BMW M3 V8 4.0L sets valve timing by directing oil to the camshaft phasing system. Also called a variable valve timing solenoid, it controls the flow of pressurized oil to the cam phaser or VVT sprocket, adjusting valve timing to real-time driving conditions.
A solenoid that is clogged, sticks open or closed, or fails electrically can bring on codes in the P0010-P0014 or P0020-P0024 range, a rough idle, hesitation or reduced power. The cam phaser or the camshaft position sensor can be behind the same signs, so find the cause before replacing the solenoid.
It is an OE replacement for the 2008-2013 BMW M3 V8 4.0L.
