This MAP sensor is a direct-fit replacement for the 1998-2000 Chevrolet Metro (L3-1.0L), 1995-1997 Geo Metro (L3-1.0L, L4-1.3L), 1993-1997 Geo Prizm (L4-1.6L, L4-1.8L), 1995-2000 Suzuki Esteem (L4-1.6L), and 1995-1997 Suzuki Swift (L4-1.3L). A MAP sensor measures pressure within the intake manifold through a changing voltage signal and sends that data to the engine control module, which uses it with other inputs to calculate engine load and adjust fuel injection and ignition timing.
