Walker Products Oxygen Sensor P/N:250-24839
Keep the ECU reading accurate exhaust data with the Walker Products Oxygen Sensor 250-23002. This 3-wire, narrow-band, heated sensor is a direct-fit replacement for a broad list of 1986–1995 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda applications — including the Ford Aerostar, Mustang [V8-5.0L], Taurus [V6-3.0L] and Ranger [L4-2.3L], the Lincoln Town Car and Mark VII [V8-5.0L], and the Mercury Grand Marquis [V8-5.0L]. It measures combustion efficiency based on the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas.
As a narrow-band sensor it feeds the ECU the signal it needs to fine-tune the air-fuel mixture, which supports normal fuel economy and helps reduce exhaust pollutants. A failing oxygen sensor may cause the engine to run poorly, increase fuel consumption or emissions, or illuminate the malfunction indicator light (MIL); the sensor, wiring harness and connector should also be checked for physical damage. If a failed sensor is the cause, this replaces it. Country of origin: Japan.
Manufacturer part number 250-23002. This sensor fits 65 applications — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
What does the Walker 250-23002 oxygen sensor do?
It measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gas to monitor the air-fuel ratio for combustion efficiency, giving the ECU the feedback it needs to fine-tune the mixture.
Is this a heated, narrow-band sensor?
Yes. It is a 3-wire, narrow-band, heated oxygen sensor with a threaded mount and platinum electrodes.
What vehicles does it fit?
It's a direct-fit replacement for many 1986–1995 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda models, such as the Aerostar, Mustang, Taurus, Town Car and Grand Marquis. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
What are the signs this sensor may need replacing?
A failing sensor may cause the engine to run poorly, raise fuel consumption or emissions, or light the MIL. Inspect the sensor, wiring harness and connector for damage before replacing.
What wrench size does it use and where is it made?
It uses a threaded mount sized for a 22 mm wrench. Country of origin: Japan.
