Walker Products Throttle Position Sensor P/N:200-1359
Walker Products 200-1119 throttle position sensor for the 1985-1993 BMW 535i 6-cylinder 3.5L and other vehicles reports throttle position to the onboard computer through a changing voltage. The computer uses that signal with other inputs to work out how much fuel to deliver.
Poor acceleration, a rough idle or stalling can mean the sensor is failing, though other faults produce the same signs. Before replacing it, look over the connector and wiring with the engine off and cool for damage or corrosion. If a failed sensor is the cause, this one replaces it.
This throttle position sensor is a direct-fit replacement for the 1987-1989 Alfa Romeo Milano V6 2.5L, the 1988-1989 Milano V6 3.0L and the 1985-1989 BMW 635CSi 6-cylinder 3.5L. Each engine takes one sensor, mounted on the throttle body. If your car is not named here, find its years and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
Fit and size
Build and materials
One throttle position sensor. A mounting bracket and mounting hardware are not included, so plan on new fasteners, since the old ones may not be reusable.
Is the Walker Products 200-1119 throttle position sensor right for the 1985-1993 BMW 535i 6-cylinder 3.5L?
Yes. Walker Products 200-1119 fits the 1985-1993 BMW 535i 6-cylinder 3.5L. For any other car, find its years and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
Do I need to buy a bracket or bolts separately for this plastic throttle position sensor?
Yes. This sensor comes without a mounting bracket or mounting hardware, so those are separate. Plan on new fasteners, since the old ones may not be reusable.
What connector does the Walker Products 200-1119 use?
The Walker Products 200-1119 has one rectangular female connector with three male blade terminals. The plastic sensor mounts on the throttle body.
Can a bad throttle position sensor cause stalling or a rough idle?
Yes, it can, since the sensor feeds throttle position to the computer, but other faults cause the same signs. A shop can scan the car for throttle-related codes.
Is this throttle position sensor tested for temperature and vibration?
Yes. Walker Products throttle position sensors are tested for signal integrity, temperature resistance and vibration durability, and they resist electromagnetic interference.
