Lock a new rear wheel bearing securely in place with the SKF Wheel Bearing Retaining Ring CIR508, a C-clip retainer for the rear of the 2007-2011 BMW 323i and 335i, 2007-2008 BMW 328xi and 335xi, 2008-2013 BMW 135i and M3, 2009-2011 BMW 328i xDrive, 335d and 335i xDrive, and the 2011 BMW 335is. C-clip retainers are used with generation-one wheel bearings to hold the bearing inside the knuckle. Used clips often rust or get damaged in service or during removal, and rust weakens them. SKF recommends fitting a new clip every time a hub bearing is installed.
