Four Seasons A/C Accumulator P/N:33172
Keep moisture and contaminants out of your A/C system with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator (MPN 83109), a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level applications). This accumulator / filter drier acts as a filter, pulling moisture and debris out of the refrigerant so those contaminants — which cannot be removed by flushing — are captured rather than circulated through the system.
How it works: moisture absorption is handled by an internal desiccant bag; a leaking or "open" system can saturate that bag within a few hours, making the unit ineffective, which is why replacement is essential whenever the system is opened.
Replacing the accumulator / filter drier is required to validate the compressor warranty and should be done anytime the A/C system is serviced. Fix it once with over 50 years of mobile A/C experience behind the Four Seasons name.
