Installed on the low-pressure side, the accumulator/filter drier stores refrigerant and removes moisture and contaminants that flushing cannot clear — which is why it should be replaced whenever the system is opened or serviced. It's a direct-fit replacement for the applications listed below.

Filters and dries: Acts as a filter to pull moisture and contaminants out of the A/C system, using an internal desiccant bag to absorb moisture.
