Description

Keep your A/C system clean and dry with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator, MPN 83259. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2002-2007 Audi A4, 2002-2007 Audi A4 Quattro, and the 2002-2007 Audi A4 / A4 Quattro application — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine-level details. The accumulator / filter drier acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning system that cannot be cleared by flushing, which is why it should be replaced whenever the system is serviced.

Desiccant absorption: Moisture is captured through a desiccant bag; a leaking or "open" system can saturate the bag within a few hours, leaving the unit ineffective.
Leak-free build: Quality welds are used for a durable, leak-resistant design, with high-quality desiccant for appropriate absorption.
Ready to install: The necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easier installation.
A/C experience: Backed by over 50 years of mobile A/C experience from Four Seasons.

Replacing the accumulator / filter drier is required to validate a compressor warranty and should be done any time the system is opened or serviced.

Buyer's Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the A/C accumulator / filter drier do?

It acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning system that cannot be cleared by flushing. A desiccant bag absorbs the moisture.

Which vehicles does MPN 83259 fit?

It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2002-2007 Audi A4 and 2002-2007 Audi A4 Quattro applications. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine-level details.

Are gaskets and seals included?

Yes. The necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included to make installation easier.

Why should the accumulator be replaced when servicing the A/C?

Contaminants and moisture it holds can't be removed by flushing, and replacement is required to validate a compressor warranty and should be done any time the system is serviced.
