Four Seasons describes this unit as a filter drier, so it is listed under both names: A/C receiver drier and filter drier.

• Filters the A/C system: It removes moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning system. Flushing cannot remove these contaminants, which is why Four Seasons calls replacing the drier essential.
