Keep your A/C system clean and dry with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier 83166, a steel filter drier that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1994-1997 Kia Sephia and 1995-2000 Kia Sportage (see the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details). It filters the refrigerant while its internal desiccant absorbs moisture and traps contaminants that flushing alone can't remove — which is why the drier should be replaced whenever the system is opened or serviced.
- Moisture and contaminant control: Acts as a filter, pulling moisture and debris out of the air conditioning circuit through a desiccant bag.
- Durable, leak-free build: Steel unit with quality welds and high-quality desiccant, produced in an ISO/TS16949 & ISO14001 certified facility.
- Ready to install: Necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easy installation.
- Service note: A leaking or "open" system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, so replacement is required to help validate compressor warranty.
Backed by over 50 years of mobile A/C experience from Four Seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does this receiver drier do?
It acts as a filter in the A/C system, using a desiccant to absorb moisture and trap contaminants that can't be removed by flushing, helping protect the rest of the system.
Which vehicles does the 83166 fit?
It's a direct-fit replacement for the 1994-1997 Kia Sephia and 1995-2000 Kia Sportage. Check the "Vehicles it fits" section to confirm fitment for your vehicle.
Does it come with gaskets and o-rings?
Yes. The necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easy installation, according to Four Seasons.
When should the receiver drier be replaced?
Four Seasons states it must be replaced any time the A/C system is opened or serviced, and replacement is required to help validate the compressor warranty.
Why can a leaking system ruin the drier?
A leaking or "open" system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, making the drier ineffective at absorbing moisture.
