Description

Deliver a hotter, more consistent spark with the ACCEL SuperCoil Ignition Coil (P/N 140012). It drops in as a direct plug-in replacement for a wide range of 1983-1997 Ford vehicles running the EEC-IV computer-controlled ignition system with a TFI distributor — including the Ford Mustang, F-150, Bronco, Ranger, Taurus and E-150 Econoline, among many others. High-output E-core design: optimized low-resistance, high-turns-ratio windings around an M36 high-silicone magnetic steel E-core, designed for higher energy and voltage outputs.
Rated output: 0.200-ohm primary resistance, 8.8k-ohm secondary resistance, 132:1 turns ratio and up to 48,000V maximum voltage — with up to a 23% peak increase in voltage and 37% peak increase in energy.
Rugged construction: special high-temperature epoxy resists shock and vibration while increasing thermal conductivity, inside a high-dielectric-strength ACCEL Yellow over-molded housing.
Brass wire contact: increases energy efficiency and resists corrosion better than aluminum.
