Anchor 9266 rear transmission mount for the 1994-1996 Mercedes-Benz SL320 and other vehicles supports the transmission and dampens vibration. It does the same job on automatic and manual transmissions.

A worn mount can show up as a clunk when you accelerate, let off or shift, vibration at idle, or cracked or separated rubber. These signs alone do not prove the mount is at fault, since a worn engine mount can cause similar movement.
