Help keep engine oil sealed in at the front of the crankshaft with the APEX Automobile Parts Inc Crankshaft Seal Kit, part number ATC4040. The front crankshaft seal sits where the crankshaft exits the front of the engine. The seal body stays stationary while its sealing lip rides on the turning crankshaft, which helps hold engine oil inside the engine. Over time a seal can wear and begin to leak, and oil may then collect around the crankshaft pulley area.
