It's an application-specific, direct-fit replacement for the front inner (and front left inner) position on the 2006-2015 Honda Civic — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the engine-level breakdown. A torn or cracked CV boot lets grease sling out and lets contaminants into the joint, so replacing the boot before the joint is damaged is a smart repair.
