It installs as a rear brake drum on the 1988-1999 Chevrolet K1500 and GMC K1500, the 1992-1994 Chevrolet Blazer, the 1992-1998 GMC Yukon, and the 1995-2000 Chevrolet Tahoe (all engines). A brake drum houses the brake shoes; as the shoes press outward against its inner surface, friction slows the wheel, so a worn or scored drum is a common wear item to refresh during a rear brake service.
