CARDONE New CV Axle Assembly P/N:66-3173
Deliver engine power to the front wheels with the CARDONE New CV Axle Assembly 66-4121, a Honda Civic cv axle built for the 1999-2000 and 2002-2005 Honda Civic, 1994-1997 Honda Civic Del Sol and 1994-2001 Acura Integra. This new axle is cataloged for both the front left and front right positions. CARDONE engineers it to meet O.E. form, fit and function.
CARDONE bases its design on extensive CV drive axle testing. The company researched why original CVs typically fail and designed new solutions to help avoid a repeat failure.
Compressed length: 22.125 in (561.98 mm). Condition: new. Country of origin: China. Sold individually, one per position.
See the Buyer's Guide tab for full fitment details.
Does this front axle fit both the left and right sides?
Yes. It is cataloged for both the front left and front right positions on the listed applications. It is sold individually, so order two if you are replacing both sides.
Is a new axle nut included?
Yes. A new M24x1.5 hex retaining nut is supplied, since the original may be worn or stripped. Tighten it with a torque wrench to the vehicle manufacturer's specification, never with an impact wrench.
What are signs a CV axle may need replacing?
Common signs include clicking when accelerating through a tight turn, grease around the wheel area from a torn boot, or vibration under acceleration. Diagnose first, as other parts can cause similar symptoms.
Does this axle include an ABS tone ring?
Yes. It includes a toothed ABS tone ring with 50 teeth. Avoid damaging the wheel speed sensor or its wiring during installation, because that damage can cause an erratic signal and an ABS warning light.
Should I replace the transaxle seal during installation?
CARDONE advises installing new transaxle seals when replacing CV drive axles to avoid leaks. Support the axle rather than letting it hang, and remove and install one axle at a time.
