Cloyes High Performance Engine Timing Chain P/N:9-131-10
Keep the crankshaft and camshaft turning in sync with the CLOYES timing chain 9-131, a high-performance double roller replacement chain. It synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and camshaft(s) so the engine's valve events are timed correctly for each cylinder. This CLOYES double roller timing chain fits many vehicles, including the 1999-2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4.8L / 5.3L / 6.0L, 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade 6.0L and 2004-2007 Buick Rainier 5.3L — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.
Cloyes recommends replacing the chain tensioner(s), sprocket(s), and guide(s) at the same time as the chain, since these components play a vital role in system stability and accurate timing. Reduced-length chains are available — add -5 (0.005") or -10 (0.010") to the end of the part number to order. One chain per application; cataloged for the center position.
