Dayco Engine Harmonic Balancer P/N:PB1463N
Dayco PB1496N harmonic balancer for the 1996 Ford F-150 6-cylinder 4.9L and other vehicles damps crankshaft vibration and carries the engine's serpentine belt.
Also called an engine harmonic balancer, this part can show wear as a visible wobble, a cracked or damaged ring, or a belt that will not stay in line. Before you replace the balancer, rule out the serpentine belt, the tensioner and the accessory pulleys as the source of the noise or vibration, since a worn belt or a failing accessory can sound similar.
It fits the 1996 Ford F-150 6-cylinder 4.9L, the 1996 Ford F-250 6-cylinder 4.9L and the 1996 Ford F-350 6-cylinder 4.9L. Each engine takes one balancer.
